How Much Floor Care Can You Hand Off to the bObsweep Dustin?
Summary
The bObsweep Dustin combines a self-emptying station, LiDAR mapping, and a mop that wipes while it vacuums. bObsweep says the station handles emptying for up to 100 days. The catch is that the mop is an attachment, and Dustin only stays out of NoMop zones while the mop is on, so in a home with rugs you'll be deciding before each run whether to attach it.
How much emptying it takes off your hands
The robot's own bin holds 300 mL and dumps into the station after each run. bObsweep lists the station at 4.6 liters in the page copy but 3.5 liters in the page description, so the two figures don't match. The 100-day estimate also gets shorter in a home with more debris.
When the bag is full, the station light turns red. To change it, you open the lid, pull out the old bag by its card, and slide the new card into the rails.
The mop and NoMop zones
Fill the 350 ml reservoir and attach the mop, and Dustin wipes hard floors as it vacuums. In the app you can draw up to 10 NoMop zones on the map.
Those zones only work while the mop is attached. bObsweep's support guide says to remove the mop before a session if you want those areas vacuumed. In practice, a home with rugs means choosing between a vacuum-and-mop run and a vacuum-only run each time.
